my dance studio is making big deal about winning scholarships this year when we go to conventions and our first convention is really easy so i think i am capable of winning one, just usually when i am at convention, i get really tired and it is hard for me to learn the choreography so fast. but i really want to make my studio happy so any tips?

you need to be able to pick up choreography fast. remember that there are going to be a lot of other people there trying to get the same thing as you so try and stand out. wear bright colors and when they aren’t looking at you, MAKE them look at you. try harder than the others there and smile, they want to know that your having fun and that you really want this because this is what you love. good luck!!

First of all, don’t go to the convention with the mindset that you have to win a scholarship. Go there to do your best, have fun and really learn and improve. Work hard, practice when no one else is, and ask instructors for help and advice where appropriate. If you are nice and talented and get noticed, maybe they will show their appreciation with a scholarship. If not, you still gained a lot from the convention.
