What should I do for an art scholarship?
I am trying to get into an expensive art school this fall and it would be helpful if I could get a scholarship. I like making formed bead-work, (like 3-D stuff using just beads.) so I would just like some suggestions or ideas or jumping off points. Nothing is too crazy or out-there!!
Thanks!!
The scholarship is provided by the school, it’s very open-ended, and i guess i’m just looking for some ideas as far as subject matter goes. It can really be anything.

my advise- i say do what you love. if you like making bead work than send that in, you want them to get a real feel for who you are and if you do something that you don’t particularly like making then they wont get a feel for you but somebody else. i love to draw/paint so if i tried for a scholarship, i would draw or paint something. also my style i like mysterious type paintings that get you thinking, or even something abstract. go with what you no!
hope i helped

you really need to chose a subject you care a lot about.
but usually using domestic work (e.g. knitting, crochet or I guess beadwork too) to tame symbols of violence or to emphasize them comes over good:

or using beading to deal with issue like domestic violence.
And generally you need to look what scholarships are available and what is necessary to apply to them. Some may ask for very specific things.
