10K per year scholarship for college, good or bad?
I just got a $10,000 per year scholarship from Saint Mary’s College of California and I don’t know what for since I didn’t apply for any particular scholarship. Apparently I got the Gaels Scholars Award but I can’t find any information about it online anywhere, so does anyone know what that is by any chance? But is a scholarship that amount good or bad compared to other scholarships?

For this purpose Google would be the best option to find out the proper answer to this question with multiple choice of and a great variety of the relevant things. SO it is recommended to just put not more than 2 or 3 main key words and find it on first page.

Scholarship is good. $10k is a lot. I got a similar scholarship for getting a 2380 on all the 3 parts of the SAT. And got a fantastic score on the ACT.

When it comes to financial aid or scholarship questions, I just tell my friends to check out http://www.FinancialAidQuick.com and take a look around. Its good mini directory with several great sources of info.

You need to ask the Admissions Office more about the Gaels Scholars Award. $10,000 a year is a good scholarship towards your educational costs for a year. Is it for one year or four years? What are the criteria to renew the scholarship? If the scholarship is more than a one year scholarship, then it is definitely a good scholarship. You should also be checking to see how much tuition is at Saint Mary’s. How much of the scholarship will cover your educational costs? Can the scholarship be applied towards other college expenses besides tuition?
